About RonIt was only natural for me to become a realtor once I moved to Port Ludlow. I have personally bought and sold over $21 million dollars of real estate including investment properties and continue to manage my own personal real estate investments. Having an opportunity to sell real estate in an area that I love and enjoy daily has been a dream come true. It's my belief that informed buyers (and sellers) are always better qualified to purchase or sell a property. I believe that informing and educating my clients about the Port Ludlow area is absolutely essential. Many of my clients come from California, (about 25%) and I can understand and appreciate their concerns and frequent misconceptions of the Olympic Peninsula. A majority of my clients come from other parts of the Northwest. As part of the Coldwell Banker team I have access to the best information and sales tools in the business. These resources enable me to better serve my clients and keep them as up to date as possible on new listing information and real estate market changes in our area. I have been in sales and sales management since 1975. I have owned my own business with 8 retail store locations in the San Francisco Bay Area. We reached 28 million dollars in annual sales with just over 150 employees. As owner I supervised all merchandising, advertising and sales management. One of my great joys in business was to teach sales and sales management skills to my own employees. I am convinced that proper training can empower anyone to achieve great goals. In 1993, I received the Retailer of the Year Award from the National Home Furnishings Association. Brief Personal History... Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, I'm the oldest of four boys. Our lives were full outdoor activities that centered around lakes and rivers. I have always enjoyed all water related activities. I attended community college in Saratoga, CA, with plans to major in marine geology. I moved south and transferred to San Diego State University where I changed my college major to business. While attending college I met my wonderful wife of 37 years - Debbie. A brief year later we were married. We now have a son and daughter who are actively involved in our community. After I "retired" a few years ago, our family moved into our vacation home in Port Ludlow, Washington. We live on the Hood Canal in the Shine community where we enjoy all of nature's best in our own back yard. Living on the waterfront is wonderful and has even lowered my blood pressure!! Currently I'm serving as Fire Commissioner for the Port Ludlow Fire and Rescue. I'm a member of the Washington State Grievance Committee for the review of standards of practice and ethics for Washington Realtors. |
